NSE New Executive Secretary Assumes Office
In compliance with the resolution reached by the Council at its meeting of March 17, 2022, the NSE new Executive Secretary (ES) of the Society, Engr. Joshua Egube, FNSE, assumed office today, Friday, July 1, 2022.
The Secretariat by the Acting President Nigerian Society of Engineers, Engr. Margaret A. Oguntala, FNSE, was accompanied by the NSE South-East Vice President, Engr. Chinasaokwu Okolie, FNSE, to officially receive the new Executive Secretary.
The ES and the Ag. President had a general interaction on the outlook of the Engineering profession in Nigeria, as well as expectations on the job.
The Vice President, Collaborations and Linkages, Engr. Chinasaokwu Okolie, FNSE was on hand to join the Acting President in welcoming the ES. He offered some words of advice as well.
The occasion also served as the official handing-over ceremony as it offered the opportunity for the erstwhile Ag. ES, Mr. Abdulkadir Aliyu, to present his handing-over notes to the substantive ES.
After a photography session, the Director, Corporate Services (erstwhile Ag. ES) took the ES on a meet-the-staff tour of the Secretariat during which exciting interactions continued.
The NSE resolved in one of their Council meetings, that the newly employed Executive Secretary will assume office at the Headquarters on July 1st, 2022, as well as subsequent Executive Secretaries.
The resolution was in recognition of the need to allow for residual administrative experiences at the Secretariat when a new NSE President is assuming office in January 2022.
