The President of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, Engr Tasiu Sa’ad Gidari-Wudil, FNSE ably represented by the Deputy President, Engr Margaret Aina Oguntala, FNSE, led a delegation of the Society on a courtesy visit to the Honourable Minister of Mines and Steel Development, Arc Olamilekan Adegbite, FNIA at the Ministry’s Headquarters in Abuja on Thursday, June 30, 2022.
In his speech, the NSE President encouraged the Minister to always employ the services of qualified Engineers in activities requiring Engineering competence. He also emphasized on the need for mentorship and training which will serve as encouragement for the Young Engineers.
In response, the Minister expressed satisfaction at the visit of NSE and encouraged the Society to continue developing the members through Continuous Professional Development programs.
Members of the President’s delegation on the Courtesy visit to the Minister of Mines and Steel Development include the Chairman of the Nigerian Institution of Metallurgical, Mining and Materials Engineers, Enr. Prof. Aje Tokan, MNSE, Chairman of Giri Branch, Engr. Abdulrahman Mohammed, FNSE.
Also in the delegation are: Chairman of Nigerian Institution of Petroleum Engineers, Engr Prisca Kanebi, FNSE who was represented by Engr Bokizibe Elijah, MNSE, Chairman of Abuja Branch, Engr. Abdulbari Abdulmalik, FNSE, NSE Council Member, Engr. Olaolu Ogunduyile, FNSE, Engr. Jacob Adeyemi, FNSE.
